Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Appleton location seeks a dialysis support technician with no prior dialysis experience. You will receive comprehensive on-the-job training and assist in setup and operation of dialysis machines, monitoring patients, and recording vitals.

Strong safety awareness and willingness to learn are essential. Responsibilities include assisting with vascular access checks, documenting treatment parameters, and coordinating with RNs to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• No dialysis experience required; comprehensive on-the-job training provided.
• Must be able to assist with education regarding patient care during dialysis? (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Welcome patients and monitor wellbeing during treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access patency and assist in cannulation.
• Record pre- and post-treatment vitals, weight, and treatment data.
• Document treatment parameters and assist with Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.
• Report changes to RN or supervisor and monitor safety alarms.
• Maintain clean, safe environment and perform infection control duties.
• Assist in transitioning patients through Transitional Care Unit processes.
