Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a dedicated dialysis support professional to assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines and to monitor patient well‑being during treatment.

You will participate in pre/post‑treatment assessments, record vital signs and treatment data, and help ensure a safe, clean environment. CPR certification and high school/or GED are required, with ongoing training provided.

Qualifications

• Assists in educating patients on adequacy measures and dialysis processes.
• Participates in pre/post-dialysis assessments and charting.
• Supports CQI and infection control activities as directed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Evaluate vascular access and monitor patency; assist with cannulation.
• Record vital signs, weight, and treatment data accurately.
• Initiate dialysis per orders including QB and QD settings.
• Document procedures and report changes to the RN or supervisor.
• Maintain clean, safe dialysis environment and instrument sterilization.
• Assist in training patient care staff under nurse supervision.
