Our Field Service Engineers are essential in delivering top-tier customer service by repairing and maintaining our products on-site.

We are seeking a talented Field Service Engineer to join our Diagnostics division, servicing molecular diagnostic and cytology equipment in the Salt Lake City, UT area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, testing, and qualification of instruments at assigned sites.
• Provide 24/7 customer support, responding within 24 hours of notification.
• Schedule and manage preventive maintenance and unscheduled visits.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of repair parts.
• Document repairs and resolutions in the CRM system and escalate issues as needed.
• Collaborate with Product Application Engineers to resolve quality issues and communicate developments.
• Keep management informed of issues and progress.
• Ensure instrumentation compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. Basic requirements include:

• Ability to meet customer credentialing requirements.
• Knowledge of chemistry principles and chemical handling.
• Understanding of electronic testing equipment.
• Familiarity with inventory and procurement systems.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
• Effective time management.
• Preferred experience in robotics, fluidics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Education:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• AA/AS degree or practical military experience considered.

Experience:

• 2-5 years of related field experience with direct customer interaction, preferably in a laboratory setting.

Additional Details:

• This role is home-based.
• Position requires 75%+ travel.
• On-call duties included.
• Overnight stays may occur 3-4 nights per week.
• Candidate must reside within 30 minutes of Salt Lake City International Airport.

Compensation:

The annual base salary ranges from $63,900 to $100,000, bonus eligible. Final compensation depends on experience, skills, education, location, and market conditions.
