• Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate.

• Responsible for educational assessment to identify child's general level of ability, the intactness of essential learning process, the level of achievement in subject areas, and specific areas of difficulty identified with attention to the child's unique techniques in working through a task.
• Organize data collected by appraisal process into a written assessment identifying the areas of strengths and deficits.
• Responsible for reporting to teachers recommendations derived from appraisal and providing consultation and assistance in the implementation of recommendations.
• Assist as a member of the Admissions, Review and Dismissal Committee in the appropriate educational placement of the student for special education services.
