Job summary

Bayou Bend Health System is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic sonographic exams under the direction of the Medical Director and the Director of Radiology. You will generate ultrasound images, monitor patient safety, and follow established protocols to support accurate diagnoses.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of sonography or completion of an ultrasound program.
• Active ARDMS or CCI-RCS certification with required registries.
• Knowledge of ultrasound equipment and procedures.
• Ability to obtain patient history and explain procedures.
• Perform procedures efficiently while maintaining quality.
• Coordinate ultrasound scheduling with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Produce ultrasound images to aid diagnosis.
• Monitor safety of patient and staff.
• Screen patients using established protocols.
• Operate equipment safely according to policy.
• Provide pre- and post-exam education to patients and families.
