Job summary

Candidates must graduate from an accredited ultrasound program, have at least six months of experience, CPR certification, and RDMS/RVT credentials where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited ultrasound program.
• Minimum of six months of related ultrasound experience.
• CPR certification required; RDMS and RVT credentials required (RVT for Certified Ultrasonographer position only).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform ultrasound examinations, exercising judgment to recognize and record pathologies and abnormalities.
• Review patient records to evaluate condition and determine diagnostic information needed.
• Summarize and document findings for radiologists and communicate with referring physicians and staff.
• Maintain current knowledge of the specialty by attending seminars and reading journals.
• Assist specialty physicians in performing invasive procedures (e.g., amniocentesis and biopsies) with ultrasound guidance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
