Job summary

Atlantic Eye is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Diagnostic Technician dedicated to delivering patient-centered eye care across five locations. You will perform advanced diagnostics such as OCT, Visual Field testing, Fundus Photography, and Corneal Topography in collaboration with our physicians.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and manage check-in; ensure patients feel valued from arrival.
• Attend to patient needs with a helpful demeanor and proactive service.
• Manage patient flow in waiting areas and exam rooms; minimize delays.
• Accompany patients to exam rooms and assist physicians during exams.
• Perform advanced diagnostic tests (OCT, Visual Field, Fundus Photography, Corneal Topography) with precision.
• Maintain EMR documentation of appointments.

As a Full-time Ophthalmic Diagnostic Technician at Atlantic Eye, you will be a vital link in our patient care chain, combining a warm, welcoming presence with the precision needed to run advanced diagnostic testing. In this dynamic role, you'll work directly alongside our physicians, manage patient flow, and ensure every individual receives exceptional care from start to finish. Please note: Travel across our 5 locations is required.

Responsibilities

• Extend a warm and courteous welcome to patients, ensuring they feel valued and cared for from the moment they enter the clinic.
• Promptly attend to their needs with a helpful demeanor, setting a positive tone for their visit.
• Manage the flow of patients in waiting areas and exam rooms, proactively identifying and addressing any delays to minimize wait times.
• Accompany patients to exam rooms with care and consideration.
• Provide assistance to physicians during patient exams.
• Perform advanced diagnostic testing, including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Visual Field testing, Fundus Photography, and Corneal Topography, with precision and accuracy.
• Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) documentation of patient appointments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates strong proficiency with digital tools, software, and technology systems relevant to the role.
• Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Exhibit reliability, responsibility, and a strong work ethic in fulfilling job duties and meeting performance expectations.

Education Requirement

• High school diploma or GED.

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM Flexibility is key, with occasional availability required on weekends and evenings.
