About ECU Health North Hospital

ECU Health North Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited, 204-bed acute care facility serving Halifax, Northampton, and Warren counties in North Carolina, with a service area extending into southern Virginia. The hospital employs over 600 team members and offers a broad range of medical and surgical services, including a 24-hour emergency department, advanced diagnostics, and specialty and primary care.

Position Summary

The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist I is part of the Radiology Services team. Responsibilities include operating diagnostic and fluoroscopy imaging equipment and performing examinations. The technologist must uphold high ethical standards while delivering quality patient care. Credentialing must include ARRT (R) registration with current certification.

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Current ARRT (R) registry, or if a new graduate, obtain registration within 18 months
  • 0 years of experience as a Radiologic/Diagnostic Technologist
Additional Information
  • Primary Shift: Rotating shifts, 24 hours per week, days vary and will be coordinated with team member
  • On Call: No
  • Weekends: Rotating
  • Note: The position is listed as Diagnostic Technologist I, but based on qualifications, the candidate may be hired at I, II, III, or IV level.
