Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare or patient-care experience preferred, but not required.
• Ophthalmic experience is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate.
• CPR certification preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with patients and providing excellent customer service.
• Able to learn and perform basic diagnostic testing accurately.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

• Dependable, organized, and willing to learn.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing of the eye with tests such as OCT macula, OCT optic nerves, Lenstar, ORB scan, Optos Fundus photos, EPIC (OPD and glare), IMMERSION and HVF.
• Triage and respond to calls and emails: RX refills, questions about patient chart/plan, etc.
• Become familiar with basic conditions and diseases of the eye.
• Maintains and sterilizes room and equipment, properly turning on and off all equipment.
• Assists Technicians and Scribes as needed.
• Administers topical ophthalmic medications and understanding basic ocular pharmacology.

JOB TITLE: Diagnostic Technician

Position Summary

The role of the Diagnostic Technician is to work relatively close with the clinic physicians to perform basic, advanced, and complex testing

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Perform the necessary diagnostic testing of the eye while having a basic understanding and knowledge of these tests such as
