Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Patient Account Representative in San Antonio, TX for 100% onsite work. The role focuses on obtaining payer authorizations for scheduled diagnostic services and ensuring timely, accurate submissions within the revenue cycle workflow.

Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years in healthcare revenue cycle, prior authorization experience, and strong communication skills to resolve issues and minimize denials. Local candidates within 50 miles are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience obtaining authorizations for imaging, diagnostic, outpatient, or procedural services.
• Experience in healthcare revenue cycle, patient access, or prior authorization workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to document payer interactions and outcomes.
• Ability to interpret payer guidelines and navigate payer portals and EHRs.

Responsibilities

• Obtain payer authorizations for scheduled diagnostic services.
• Verify authorization requirements and submit complete requests.
• Monitor cases through determinations and communicate issues that could delay service or cause denials.
