The target pay range for this position is $23.27-$27.35/hour. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training, and budget.

Job Purpose / Overview

The Diagnostic Sales Associate (DSA) focuses on business development by generating leads for the Diagnostic Sales Managers (DSM) and promoting Antech’s products and services. The DSA develops strong customer relationships, works closely with Field Marketing to execute marketing programs, and adds value to clients by promoting useful services. The DSA performs sales calls to resolve client issues, close deals, and generate revenue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Conduct daily outbound calls to prospects on target account lists to identify customer needs and schedule meetings for Diagnostic Sales Managers.
  2. Update and maintain client records.
  3. Work prospects through the sales process in a systematic, timely manner to support customer needs.
  4. Collaborate with sales and marketing management to identify new account or product placement opportunities.
  5. Follow up on all incoming sales and marketing leads promptly (within 24 hours), qualify prospects accurately, and log all activities in Salesforce CRM.
  6. Engage with accounts by sharing appropriate product information and tracking lead progress.
  7. Identify and generate new client relationships through outbound calls and research.
  8. Handle orders, support questions, and other inquiries as needed.
  9. Set up new accounts and understand the Antech sales process steps.
  10. Achieve lead and sales goals accurately and honestly.
  11. Communicate and collaborate across the sales and marketing teams, including all sales roles, customer success, and support, focusing on team selling and winning.
  12. Conduct customer research and qualify accounts prior to the AM’s first in-person visit.
  13. Contact customers to confirm research findings and gather additional information.
  14. Participate in enterprise initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
  15. Report line responsibility to the Inside Sales Manager.
  16. Navigate ambiguous situations in a manner consistent with the Five Principles of Mars and maintain integrity.
Education and Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business or relevant field, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  2. 1+ years of previous sales experience, preferably in telephone, retail sales, or customer service.
  3. Preference for veterinary industry and/or diagnostics experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. Ability to work collaboratively.
  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  3. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  4. Team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Strong desire to “hunt” and close new business.
  6. Strong phone sales skills, understanding of the sales process, and ability to make high-volume outbound calls.
  7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Travel

Occasional travel may be required, up to 20% of the time.

Working Conditions

The associate must frequently sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Manual dexterity for keyboarding is required. The associate must be able to hear and speak frequently for communication and presentations. Occasionally, the associate may need to sit and stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch, and lift/move up to 15 pounds.
