Geisinger is seeking an Xray Technologist I to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in a clinical environment. The role involves ensuring patient safety, optimizing imaging protocols, and complying with all regulatory standards. New graduates are encouraged to apply and must obtain ARRT certification within 6 months of hire.
Job Summary: $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants! This posting reflects an opening for an Xray Technologist I. We are seeking candidates for that position, but Geisinger reserves the right to consider applicants for higher levels, including Xray Technologist II, based on skills, qualifications, and experience. Radiologic Technologists are responsible for administering ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They perform a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, acquire and analyze data for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. They independently perform or assist in radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, and prepare, administer, and document activities related to medications and radiation exposure in compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and institutional policies.
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. The role requires compliance with all organizational policies and procedures. Additional department-specific competencies will be considered essential.
Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required). Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
