Role Overview

Radiologic Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research procedures involving ionizing radiation. They conduct radiographic and fluoroscopic exams, analyze data for diagnosis, and assist licensed practitioners.

Key Responsibilities

Obtain correct patient information, prepare for exams, utilize proper imaging protocols, optimize safety following ALARA principles, administer medications via vascular access when prescribed, evaluate image quality, verify data transfer, and educate students and healthcare providers. Assist with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures both within and outside the radiology department.

Qualifications & Skills

Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; ARRT-R certification required within six months.
