Job summary

Responsibilities include identifying patients, preparing exams, applying ALARA principles, evaluating image quality, and supporting learners and practitioners in fluoroscopic and specialized procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months.
• Applicants hired after a specified date must complete steps to advance to level 2 within 24 months.

• Obtain correct orders, identify patients, prepare them for exams, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles for patient safety.
• Prepare and/or administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate image quality, verify proper positioning, and ensure proper data storage and transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Assist practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside the Radiology Department.
