Job summary

UC Health is hiring a full-time Radiology Technologist for the Radiology department on the first shift at The University of Cincinnati Medical Center. You will perform diagnostic radiographs with independent judgment, review patient history, follow established protocols, ensure patient and staff safety, and contribute to quality control and ongoing education.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree, ARRT registration, Ohio licensure, and BLS certification; 1–3 years of experience preferred,

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; ARRT registration and Ohio licensure.
• 1–3 years of radiology experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Workers.
• Must communicate clearly with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Communicates clearly with patients and staff.
• Performs diagnostic procedures by reviewing patient history, communicating what will occur, and following all established protocols and safety measures.
• Ensures patient and staff safety by providing protection equipment, regulating time and intensity of exposure, and utilizing equipment correctly.
• Reviews images for diagnostic acceptability and maintains appropriate record-keeping and quality control.
• Prepares and administers contrast media under physician direction, practices sterile techniques to prevent spread of disease, and assists in administering emergency procedures as needed.
• Participates in continuing education activities related to radiologic technology and its subspecialties.
