Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging under the guidance of licensed practitioners. The role ensures patient safety with ionizing radiation and requires ARRT certification with state licensure preferred.

The ideal candidate has 1 year in radiation safety and patient care, and experience with Radiology Information System. EPIC and PACS experience are a plus. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associates from an ARRT accredited institute preferred
• ARRT certification and state licensure required or preferred
• BLS certification required at hire for certain locations; preferred before independent patient care

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient clinical history and lab work; documents for licensed practitioner
• Positions and immobilizes patient to expose area of interest
• Applies radiation protection to minimize exposure
• Performs radiographic procedures using imaging equipment
• Verifies consent and completes pre/post procedure docs
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography
• Performs required timeouts and aseptic technique
• Administers medications/contrast as prescribed
