Qualifications

• ARRT registration or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and use radiologic equipment to image body parts on x-ray or fluoroscopy.
• Operate and position radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images per exam specs.
• Prepare patients, provide instructions, assist with positioning and safety.
• Back-up for clinical team by controlling patient flow and triaging.
• Maintain radiologic equipment, report malfunctions, schedule maintenance.
• Review patient records and import external images into PACS.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job description

• Maintain and use equipment and supplies that image portions of the human body on x-ray film or fluoroscopic screens
• Operate and position radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images according to exam specifications and radiologic requirements
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, provide verbal instructions, assist with positioning, explain procedures, and observe patient safety and comfort
• Serve as a back-up for clinical team members by controlling patient flow and triaging
• Maintain working order of radiologic equipment, report malfunctions, and schedule regular maintenance
• Review patient records and import external images into the picture archiving and communication system (PACS)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate's Degree
• Graduate from a 2-year certificate program certified by the ASRT in Radiology Technology
• Registered or eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Licensed or eligible for license by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology
• CPR certified (preferred)
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
