Job description

Diagnostic Radiology Technologist - Methodist Medical Plaza South

Join us as a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist at Indiana University Health.

Overview

We seek passionate team members dedicated to meaningful patient care. Candidates should be compassionate, purposeful, team-oriented, and committed to excellence daily.

This is a full-time, dayshift position, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 5 pm. No weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities. Sign-on bonus available for qualifying candidates.

Responsibilities
  1. Operate imaging equipment such as x-ray, fluoroscopy, portable x-ray, and surgical fluoroscopy.
  2. Prepare patients by explaining procedures and positioning them correctly.
  3. Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to ensure accurate imaging.
  4. Follow radiation safety protocols.
  5. Document patient history and procedure details accurately.
  6. Monitor patients during exams for safety.
  7. Assist with minimally invasive procedures as needed.
  8. Maintain current knowledge through continuing education.
  9. Document necessary information in EMR.
Qualifications
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to maneuver equipment and adapt positioning for patient needs.
  • Active registration as a Radiologic Technologist (RT R) through ARRT or recent graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program (board eligible). Must obtain ARRT credential within 6 months if eligible.
  • Current Indiana State Department of Health license as a Radiologic Technologist or Radiology Student Permit.
