Diagnostic Radiology Technologist - Methodist Medical Plaza South

Join Indiana University Health as a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist at Methodist Medical Plaza South.

Overview

This is a full-time, dayshift position, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 5 pm, with no weekends, holidays, or call responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:

1. Operating imaging equipment such as X-ray, fluoroscopy, portable X-ray, and surgical fluoroscopy equipment.
2. Preparing patients by explaining procedures and positioning them correctly.
3. Collaborating with radiologists and physicians to ensure accurate imaging.
4. Following radiation safety protocols.
5. Documenting patient history and exam details.
6. Monitoring patient safety during procedures.
7. Assisting with minimally invasive procedures as needed.
8. Maintaining current knowledge through continuing education.
9. Documenting all necessary information in EMR systems.

Qualifications:

• 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to maneuver equipment and adapt positioning for patient needs.
• Active registration as a Radiologic Technologist (RT R) with ARRT or recent graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program (board eligible). If board eligible, credential must be obtained within 6 months.
• Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or Radiology Student Permit.
