Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
• Obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months (for new graduates).
• Ability to perform diagnostic radiography, fluoroscopy, and assist during procedures.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety, patient care, and technical imaging principles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper patient identification, preparation, and accurate documentation of clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access under licensed practitioner supervision.
• Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and verify data archival or transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside the Radiology Department.
