Join to apply for the Diagnostic Radiology Technologist role at VA Detroit

This position is at the full performance level, responsible for performing and coordinating diagnostic radiology examinations and procedures at VA Northern California Stockton OPC, Radiology department.

Duties

Assigned duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Performing various radiographic examinations.
  2. Overseeing the daily flow of exams to ensure timely patient care.
  3. Managing radiology area operations to optimize workflow.
  4. Creating and reviewing reports for quality assurance.
  5. Incorporating technological advances in radiology practices.
  6. Providing training to healthcare staff on equipment and procedures.
  7. Troubleshooting and minor repairs of radiologic equipment.
  8. Interpreting radiology requests.
  9. Practicing radiation safety to minimize exposure.
  10. Coordinating activities with Sacramento Radiology department to enhance patient care.
Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Requirements

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, proficient in English, and meet health and security requirements, including background checks and physical examinations. Certification in radiologic technology by ARRT is required, with advanced certification for certain modalities. Education must be from an accredited program.

Qualifications

For GS-8 level, at least one year of experience at the GS-7 level demonstrating required competencies is necessary, along with specific knowledge, skills, and abilities outlined in the job posting.
