Job summary

UNC Health Nash is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to produce radiographic studies under the clinical direction of a Radiologist. This full-time, on-site position supports patient care, safety, and film quality while contributing to departmental operations.

Responsibilities include performing routine and specialized radiographs, applying radiation safety, assisting physicians and nursing staff, operating equipment, documenting in patient records, and participating in quality control

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school or program of Radiologic Technology.
• Current Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Student applicants must pass the registry within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Produces radiographic studies under the clinical direction of a Radiologist.
• Ensures film quality, patient care, safety, and sterile technique.
• Coordinates with physicians and nursing staff.
• Operates radiology equipment and film processors.
• Documents to the patient record.
• Provides instruction to staff and students as assigned.
• Participates in quality control, quality assurance, and quality improvement activities.
• Performs miscellaneous support tasks as needed.
