Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registration within six months.
• Applicants hired after a specific date must complete steps for Level 2 advancement within 24 months.
• Related Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history confidentially.
• Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate images for accuracy, quality, and proper positioning; manage data storage and transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare team members.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside radiology settings such as OR, ICU, or endoscopy.
