Job summary

Nite Lines USA seeks a licensed, board-certified radiologist to oversee imaging requests and protocols at the VA Medical Center in Providence, RI. The role involves interpreting studies, guiding technologists, and ensuring safety and quality in imaging practice.

This on-site position offers $300.00 per hour, a substantial sign-on bonus of $8,000, and comprehensive benefits. Candidates must hold active medical licensure, ACLS/BLS, and experience with EHR and radiology workflows.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered medical license in any state.
• Board certification status or eligibility required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience with EHR systems and radiology/nuclear medicine workflows.

Responsibilities

• Review imaging requests for appropriateness and provide protocols and oversight to radiology staff.
• Prescribe contrast agents, medications, and radiation doses per professional standards and ACR guidelines.
• Communicate imaging protocols to radiology technologists and staff.
• Adhere to ALARA principles in all radiation-related activities.
• Provide interpretations within set turnaround times: STAT within 1 hour; ASAP within 8 hours; Routine within 48 hours.
• Communicate critical findings per policy and report image quality issues.
