Health Match BC is seeking radiology physicians to join its Regional Medical Imaging Team, delivering services for the Kootenay Boundary Region from a home workstation with regular in-hospital days at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, BC.

We support reading Medical Imaging studies from KBRH, KLH, Castlegar, and other regional centres. Eligible for relocation funding, recruitment incentives, and Rural CME benefits; full-time positions include extensive leave and flexible scheduling.

Role and Facility Information

Join our Regional Medical Imaging Team providing services for the Kootenay Boundary Region from the comfort of your home workstation with regular scheduled in hospital workdays at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, BC.

We are privileged to read Medical Imaging studies from KBRH (Trail), KLH (Nelson), Castlegar and District Community Health Centre, Grand Forks' Boundary District Hospital, Slocan Community Health Centre, and Arrow Lakes Hospital in Nakusp.

Currently building a hospital extension to house a brand new MR suite. We have a 1.5T MR, x2 CTs, 10 US, a multiuse Fluoroscopy room for basic interventional procedures, a diagnostic breast imaging center, nuclear medicine, and bone densitometry.

With 13 weeks, or more, of leave and a flexible local team, you will have ample time for personal or academic pursuits. We try accommodating additional leave when needed with assistance from remote Interior Health readers and visiting locums.

Benefits and Incentives

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 11.48% Retention Flat Fee $17,791 Relocation Funding Available $Relocation reimbursement up to a maximum of $9,000 for moves within BC, $12,000 for moves within Canada, and $15,000 for those relocating from outside Canada. Recruitment Incentive $15,000 Other Benefits/Incentives Rural CME: max of $6.600/year after 4 years in practice The above numbers are based on a full-time position and may be prorated for physicians working less than full time. *Rural incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at time of offer. Candidates with a BC or Canada student loan may be eligible for loan forgiveness programs.
