Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) invites experienced and passionate diagnostic radiologists to join our outstanding Diagnostic Imaging Service.
As a valued team member, you will work in a cutting-edge environment spanning the main medical center in Temple, a large outpatient clinic in Austin, a dedicated psychiatric hospital in Waco, and four additional community-based outpatient clinics. Our team performs over 125,000 imaging exams annually, utilizing advanced technology-including four 1.5T MRI units, five multi-detector CT scanners, eight diagnostic ultrasound machines, two digital mammography units, and an integrated Nuclear Medicine section.
Interpret a wide spectrum of diagnostic imaging exams: MRI, CT, CT Angiograms, Fluoroscopy, ultrasound, general radiology (x-ray), and General Nuclear Medicine.
Perform limited interventional procedures, including CT and ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration and biopsies.
Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology is preferred; recent subspecialty fellowship training and experience with Musculoskeletal, Neuroradiology, Abdominal/body Imaging, Chest, MRI, Mammography, Interventional radiology, or PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine are highly desirable.
Leverage state-of-the‑art McKesson PACS and voice recognition systems to collaborate seamlessly across our Central Texas sites.
Robust teleradiology services provide after-hours coverage, with staff radiologists serving as backup for urgent cases and technical support.
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., plus rotating on-call responsibilities for backup during evenings, weekends, and overnight. Additionally, rotating holiday coverage.
