Job summary

University of Michigan seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs across designated anatomical areas following established procedures. You will obtain patient history, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort while adhering to ARRT guidelines.

Maintain infection control, assist with contrast media administration, and uphold confidentiality. Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a school of radiologic technology or equivalent.
  • ARRT registration required or eligible with first exam within 6 months of hire; 3 attempts within 18 months.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high quality diagnostic radiographic procedures.
  • Maintain universal precautions and aseptic technique.
  • Explain procedures and address patient concerns; obtain patient history.
  • Communicate with patients to obtain clinical information and alleviate anxiety.
  • Identify and administer contrast media per department protocol.
  • Display excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
