Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography and CT studies with an emphasis on patient safety and image quality. The role includes positioning, administering contrast per protocol, operating PACS and Epic workflows, and collaborating with radiologists to tailor exams to patient history.

Minimum Associates degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT registration, CT certification within three years, and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology or AMA approved program
• ARRT: Registered Radiologic Technologist
• ARRT CT certification or within three years of hire
• BLS Basic Life Support certification
• One year clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality radiographic examinations with accurate positioning and technique
• Minimizes radiation exposure through protection techniques
• Adjusts exposure factors using knowledge of anatomy and disease
• Performs CT studies following protocol and tailors exams to history
• Administers IV and oral contrast per protocol and monitors patient
• Maintains department supplies and PACS/Epic workflows
• Communicates with staff and participates in continuing education
• Ensures age-specific patient care and safety standards
• Possesses ability to recognize equipment malfunctions
