The Hampton VA Medical Center is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join their team. The technologist will operate MRI scanners within the Diagnostic Imaging Service to perform MRI examinations essential for diagnosing medical conditions. These studies may involve standard or specialized scan protocols and pulse sequences.
Applicants pending completion of educational or certification requirements may be considered tentatively but cannot be hired until all requirements are fulfilled.
For GS-09 level, candidates need at least one year of experience equivalent to GS-8 demonstrating clinical competencies, and the ability to perform independently as an advanced DRT. Assignments may include complex imaging procedures and specialized MRI duties, requiring additional knowledge of MRI physics, safety, and equipment.

Position involves moderate lifting (15-44 pounds), bending, standing for up to 6 hours, and handling equipment and coils requiring twisting and reaching.
