Job summary

Wayne UNC Health Care is seeking a Diagnostic Technologist to perform radiographic imaging procedures and support physicians in diagnosis. You will review patient data, ensure correct labeling, and maintain complete documentation while working onsite in the Rad.-Diagnostic unit.

The role requires ARRT registration or eligibility, two years in Radiologic Technology, and one year of technologist experience; mammography exposure is a plus and BLS is expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of two years of formal Radiologic Technology training.
• ARRT registration required or registry eligible with employment-projected registration within six months.
• One year of experience as a Registered Diagnostic Technologist required; mammography experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of radiographic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosis.
• Review patient history and clinical data to produce images for interpretation while ensuring correct patient ID, marker, exam tag, and annotation.
• Maintain documentation and ensure orders and charges are accurate; complete forms as required.
• Set up and explain imaging procedures; position patient according to protocols.
• Administer medications and contrast media; demonstrate IV therapy knowledge and maintenance.
• Assist in training new teammates and student technologists when needed.
