Job summary

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Diagnostic Radiographer to join our Imaging team. The post holder will produce high quality images to assist in diagnosis and treatment, while adhering to Radiation Protection guidelines and local rules.

Some roles may require weekend shifts at multiple sites. You will participate in the on-call rota and support student radiographers in training, maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Qualified radiographer with NHS band 5 experience.
• Ability to produce high quality radiographs for diagnosis.
• Commitment to CPD and ongoing professional development.
• Knowledge of Radiation Protection guidelines and local rules.

Responsibilities

• Undertake radiographic duties to a high standard.
• Ensure patients receive high quality care.
• Be conversant with routine procedures in general, screening, casualty, mobile and theatre radiography.
• Assist with practical training of student radiographers.
• Communicate effectively with staff to ensure smooth department operation.
• Adhere to Radiation Protection guidelines and Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Participate in quality assurance programmes and report equipment faults.
• Take part in on-call and stand-by rotas as required.
• Undertake other duties appropriate to the post.
• Provide initial assessment and interpretation of images produced.
