Onsite Imaging Services, LLC is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging, including OB/GYN and multi-specialty studies, in the West Palm Beach area. The role requires ARDMS certification, Florida license, CPR/BLS, and at least 1 year OB/GYN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Florida driver’s license.
• CPR/BLS and OSHA certifications required.
• ARDMS (RDMS/RVT/RDCS/CCI) certification.
• 1 year OB/GYN experience required.
• Vascular/General/Abdomen experience preferred.
• Small Parts experience preferred.
• Fluent English; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients about procedures, equipment and exams.
• Takes on-call shift responsibilities as required.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures; ensures image quality.

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is a qualified professional that is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment. As an Ultrasound Technician, you will play a vital role by performing diagnostic ultrasounds. Your duties include performing routine pelvic and transvaginal scans for GYN/OB patients as well as possible multi-specialty services such as vascular and small parts studies, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, as well as the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures if clinically appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies.
• selects appropriate imaging parameters.
• Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Strong communication skills required, ability to communicate effectively with ordering physicians, other medical professionals, and administrative staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is desirable.
• Florida driver’s license
• Personal automobile
• Fluent in speaking English (Spanish preferred)
• Active ARDMS, CPR, OSHA certification - (RDMS, RVT, RDCS, CCI)
• 1 Year OB/GYN experience (Required)
• Vascular and General / Abdomen experience (Preferred)
• Echocardiogram experience (Preferred)
• Small Parts (Breast/Thyroid/Scrotum) Experience - (Preferred)
• CPR/BLS Certification (REQUIRED)

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Work Experience: Prior work is experience required.

Other Information: Must be registered in ARDMS (OBGYN,AB, RVT, BR, or PS).

Additional Education Info: Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or possess a foreign diploma recognized by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

Minimal travel between accounts will be required, expecting all travel to be conducted in a timely manner ensuring punctuality.
