The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is a qualified professional responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment. As an Ultrasound Technician, you will play a vital role by performing diagnostic ultrasounds, including routine pelvic and transvaginal scans for GYN/OB patients, as well as possible multi‑specialty services such as vascular and small parts studies, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Accredited Program: Ultrasound Technologist (Required). American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) – American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), BLS American Heart E‑Card (BLS AHA ECARD) – American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) – American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) – Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE), BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) – Red Cross (RED CROSS), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) – Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) – American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required Work Experience: Prior work is experience required.
Other Information: Must be registered in ARDMS (OBGYN, AB, RVT, BR, or PS).
Additional Education Info: Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or possess a foreign diploma recognized by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Minimal travel between accounts will be required, expecting all travel to be conducted in a timely manner ensuring punctuality.
