Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program meeting ARDMS requirements.
• Preferred: 1+ year experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer/Vascular Technologist with RDMS and RVT credentials.
• RDMS and RVT credentials must be obtained per policy.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations with cognitive skills.
• Identifies and documents exam findings; communicates results to radiologist.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Operates imaging equipment safely and coordinates exam order efficiently.
• Maintains equipment and performs QC per policy.
• Provides instruction to students and residents when appropriate.
• Completes mandatory educational assignments and divisional paperwork.
• Adheres to disinfection, cleaning, and safety policies.
