The Role You’ll Contribute

Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department. Perform high-quality images and exams on patients while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs. Demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists. Acts as a clinical resource to unit personnel and ensures current standards of practice for the unit.

The Value You’ll Bring To The Team

• Performs a variety of ultrasound procedures including, but not limited to, abdominal, pelvic, OB, head, extremity, retroperitoneal, small parts, and vascular. May perform cardiac procedures as required by the entity. Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to “as low as reasonably achievable” (ALARA).
• Produces quality images in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
• Prepares the patient for the exam. Provides information and instructions to the patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.
• Assists the patient during the exam and positions the patient.

Qualifications

The Expertise And Experiences You’ll Need To Succeed

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association.
• ARDMS - registered required RDMS(OB/GYN) or (AB) or (BR) or ARRT registered R.T.(S)(ARRT) or R.T.(S)(BS)(ARRT) or ARDMS registered RVT(VT) with OB or ABD required within 1 year of hire, or ARRT registered - R.T.(S)(VS)(ARRT) or ARDMS registered RDCS(AE) or (PE) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS).
