Summary:

MaineHealth's Obstetrics and Gynecology department is highly recognized for the quality of patient care provided across Maine and Southern New Hampshire. We facilitate a smooth patient flow to create a supportive atmosphere.

Our state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment enables us to produce high-quality diagnostic images. We are AIUM accredited in several areas, including Obstetric (first, second, and third trimester), Detailed fetal anatomical survey, Fetal Echocardiography, and GYN imaging, including 3D imaging.

With extensive knowledge and academic involvement in the field, we serve as a teaching facility for local ultrasound programs and the residency program at MMC.

Training and education will be provided, with a requirement to become Fetal Echocardiography certified.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
  1. Education: Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent training and experience eligible for registration as a Sonographer through ARDMS.
  2. License/Certifications: Current ARDMS certification or full registration in at least one specialty area, according to departmental/local health system requirements. Current BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of start date.
  3. Experience: Six months of diagnostic ultrasound experience preferred.
