Overview:

Responsibilities:

Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures in ambulatory setting requiring independent judgment, under the direction of a qualified physician. Proficient in preliminary structural reporting. Conducts general diagnostic ultrasound imaging studies of patients, including scanning for correct anatomy/pathology, operating sonography equipment, maintaining supplies, explaining procedures to patients, and documenting accordingly. Must be competent in infection control practices.

Minimum Education & Certification:

• Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, related field, or completion of an acceptable training program (Required)
• ARRT or ARDMS certification (Required)
• BLS certification
