Overview:

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA is currently hiring a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for a Full Time, Rotating Shift.

Hours

• Monday - Friday: Rotating Schedule

• Rotating 3rd Shift Weekends and Holiday Schedule

Responsibilities:

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures in ambulatory settings, requiring independent judgment under a physician's direction.
• Proficient in preliminary structural reporting.
• Conducts general diagnostic ultrasound imaging studies, including scanning for correct anatomy/pathology, operating sonography and radiology equipment, preparing patients and equipment, and maintaining supplies.
• Explains procedures to patients and completes documentation.

Education:

• Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, related field, or completion of an approved training program (Required).

Certification/Licensure:

• ARRT or ARDMS (Required)
• BLS certification
