A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Diagnostic Laboratory Technologist for a full-time position in Wyoming. This role involves performing a variety of laboratory tests, ensuring quality control, and providing essential services in a fast-paced clinical environment. Fairview is looking for a Full Time (1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week) Diagnostic Laboratory Technologist at M Health Fairview Clinic - Wyoming. Shifts are 8 hours in length, Monday-Thursday 9:30am-6:00pm, Fridays 9:00am-5:30pm. Weekend hours will be one day scheduled every 5-6 weeks at an Urgent Care location.
The Wyoming Clinic Lab offers a fast paced work environment where staff perform waived and moderate testing, process a wide variety of tests for Primary Care and Specialty clinic providers, and perform minimal phlebotomy.
The DLT plays an important role in providing quality, proficient and professional laboratory services to diverse populations within an ambulatory healthcare environment. The Diagnostic Laboratory Technician performs waived or moderate complexity testing, correlates data-based knowledge of technical and instrumental conditions affecting testing results and performs quality control procedures within established parameters.
This position will also be involved with the preparation or procurement of specimens used for high complexity and research testing, ensuring efficient workflow and may schedule tests and provide results as appropriate. The DLT works independently under general supervision.
Job Expectations: follow established guidelines to obtain specimens, perform testing and report results, consistently implement and adhere to the laboratory customer service standards. The standards include promoting teamwork, successful communication, and conflict resolution, supports and adheres to laboratory SOPs, quality assurance, performance improvement and compliance programs recognizing trends and identifying when additional reporting, communication or other action is appropriate. Demonstrates competency and compliance with all regulatory agency policies. Other duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsBachelor’s in a Chemistry orBiological sciencesfield with a minimum of 24 semester hours of science courses that include
oSix semester hours of chemistry and
oSix semester hours of biology and
oTwelve semester hours of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology in any combination.
