UR Medicine Thompson Health in Canandaigua, NY seeks a DI Assistant in Diagnostic Imaging to lead communication, coordinate schedules, and support a team across departments. Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required or previous experience.
Associates Degree preferred.
Medical terminology strongly desired or must complete online course within 6 months of hire.
Secretarial/Clerical experience with strong organizational skills preferred.
Expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel helpful.
Computer knowledge and skills with McKesson Paragon applications involved in scheduling, ordering and imaging (PACS).
2–3 years of previous medical office and/or hospital experience preferred.
1–2 years as computerized or electronic scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates leadership in communication and prioritizing assignments.
Maintains collaborative relationships with system departments, medical staff and healthcare professionals.
Manages time, keyboarding, and multi-tasking to keep department operations efficient.
Provides courteous, service-oriented customer interactions.
Understands Diagnostic Imaging testing and scheduling complexities for timely tests.
