Job summary

CalvertHealth is seeking a Patient Transport Support role to assist nurses, technologists, and physicians with safe, efficient patient transports on Nursing Units and in the Radiology Department. The position also supports reception and phone duties within the department.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (or current student with work permit) and 6–12 months of experience in a medical setting. Strong communication and basic medical terminology knowledge are preferred.

Assists the hospital nurses, technologists, and physicians in ensuring safe, efficient patient transports on Nursing Units and within the Radiology Department, and provides assistance in reception and phone duties within the department.

Education :

Experience :

Position requires 6-12 months experiencein a medical setting. Willing to train interested candidates with strong oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred.

Other Requirements :

• Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
• Effectively communicates with all patient populations and staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques in daily practice.
• Effectively advocates for quality patient safety and satisfaction.
