Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Diabetes Educator to deliver dietary education and diabetes self-management education to individuals and groups. The role follows ADCES standards and requires a background in dietetics or nursing with an active GA license.

The candidate should have 1 year of diabetes education experience, ADCES certification or eligibility, and a commitment to patient-centered care in a hospital setting. Work hours are 8–5; weekends and on-call are not required.

Qualifications

• Licensed RD or GA RN with current license

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing Dietary Education and Diabetes self-management education and training to individuals and groups according to the Scope of Practice, Standards of Practice, and Standards of Professional performance for Diabetes Educators (ADCES).

Qualifications

• 1. One (1) year experience providing diabetes education to individuals and/or groups
• 2. ADCES certification or eligible for certification and will complete within six months
• 4. Registered Dietitian OR
• Registered Nurse with current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nursing Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate License
