Job summary
GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD, seeks a Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutrition services to inpatients and outpatients and educate patients and staff on diabetes management. You will plan therapeutic diets in line with physician diagnoses and regulatory requirements as part of an interdisciplinary team.
The role is 32 hours per week with flexible scheduling to meet staffing needs. Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition, RD registration and Maryland
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Nutrition from an accredited college or university.
- Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed with the State of Maryland.
- Certification as a Diabetes Educator preferred; willing to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide nutritional services to inpatients and outpatients.
- Educate staff and community on diabetes management.
- Plan therapeutic diets in accordance with physician diagnoses and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care team to implement nutrition care plans.
- Schedule is 32 hours per week with flexible coverage needs.
