Job summary

Catawba Valley Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our Nutrition Services team. You will provide nutrition and diabetes education to patients and community members, assess needs, and develop and implement care plans to improve health outcomes.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or related field, RD licensure or eligibility in NC, and BCLS certification with a willingness to complete within one month. Two years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or related field required.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) or eligible for NC licensure.
• BCLS for healthcare providers or completion within 1 month of employment.
• Two years of experience preferred; internship may be considered in place of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition and diabetes education to patients and community members in one-on-one sessions and group classes.
• Assess nutritional needs and develop and implement nutritional care plans.
• Evaluate and report results of nutritional interventions.
