Job summary

AdventHealth in Celebration, FL is seeking a Diabetes Educator to join AHMG Diabetes and Endocrinology. You will provide diabetes education, nutrition planning, and lifestyle coaching to patients, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, and occasional travel to Kissimmee 2–3 times per week.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 1+ year in diabetes care, BLS, CDCES, and RDN or RN licensure, plus fluency in English. Day-one benefits and professional growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of diabetes concepts and insulin pump therapy.
• Ability to teach diabetes management and nutrition.
• Ability to assess data relative to patient age and diagnosis.
• Ability to provide insulin pump training and glucose monitoring training.
• Effective communication and daily organization skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Fluency in English; Spanish bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in special projects and community programs to raise diabetes awareness.
• Completes documentation accurately within expected time frames.
• Provides lifestyle coaching and manages assigned caseloads.
• Supports quality standards and performance improvement activities.
• Educates patients and families about research opportunities.
• Delivers diabetes education sessions per ADA standards.
• Establishes learning goals with patients and families.
• Prescribes nutrition plans based on patient needs.
• Follows up on educational plans and evaluates progress.
• Floats to Kissimmee office 2-3 times per week.
