Job summary

The Research Associate at the Community Health Worker Institute (CHWI) at Montefiore Einstein supports patients living with type 2 diabetes by reducing barriers to management, improving access to care, and helping navigate health and social services within primary care settings.

Reporting to the program manager, the role draws on community experience to help shape the study's implementation strategy and support integration of the research intervention with clinical teams, patients, and providers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of related research experience preferred.
• Experience with REDCap and EPIC for data entry.
• Bilingual Spanish speaker preferred.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams with confidentiality.
• CITI Training in Human Subjects Research & GCP required.

Responsibilities

• Execute non-clinical research operations to support T2D_CATCH study.
• Oversee daily study activities with Principal Investigators and Research Managers.
• Inform content of research materials based on patient feedback and experience.
• Develop study protocols, policies and workflows.
• Follow study protocols and documentation in REDCap and EPIC.
• Conduct virtual or in-person sessions with eligible participants.
• Promote shared decision making on diabetes technology use.
• Track participant contacts and outcomes; coordinate uptake of technology.
• Attend study meetings and trainings; build relationships with internal and external teams.
