Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA, is seeking a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist to educate inpatients and outpatients and to serve as a clinical resource for patients and staff. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Nursing or an ACEND-accredited program as applicable, with RD or RN licensure.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Nursing; or a related field with ACEND-accredited Dietetics program.
Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Nurse licensure.
Diabetes education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide diabetes education to inpatients and/or outpatients.
Serve as a clinical resource to patients and staff.
Maintain current knowledge of diabetes management and education practices.
