Job summary

Mt. Diablo Unified School District Concord High in Concord, California is seeking an Assistant to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing II to provide specialized instructional support for DHH students under site supervision.

Qualifications

• Two years of college-level coursework related to the work assignment.
• Knowledge of sign language and instructional procedures.
• Ability to meet state/federal requirements and district notices.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with instruction for DHH students.
• Administer scores and record results of special tests.
• Assist DHH students in using specialized instructional equipment.
• Maintain and prepare student records and related clerical tasks.
• Support DHH students with health needs and daily routines.
• May assist staff with telephone calls.
