Sure SWPPP, LLC in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is hiring a dependable SWPPP Inspector to perform construction storm water inspections. The role begins at 25-30 hours per week with potential to transition to full-time as project volume grows.

A company vehicle is provided for inspections, and we will train on SWPPP requirements, inspection procedures, documentation, and our software. Prior SWPPP experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine SWPPP inspections at active construction sites in the DFW area.
• Inspect erosion and sediment controls and other BMPs.
• Identify deficiencies, maintenance needs, and corrective actions.
• Take clear and organized site photographs.
• Complete electronic inspection reports accurately and on time.
• Manage an assigned schedule of project sites.
• Communicate professionally with project managers, superintendents, contractors, and customers.
• Maintain organized inspection records and documentation.
• Drive between project sites using a company-provided vehicle.
• Monitor stabilization, entrances, perimeter controls, and drainage features.
• Represent Sure SWPPP professionally on customer job sites.
• Maintain the company vehicle and equipment in clean and professional condition.

Job Summary

Sure SWPPP is hiring a dependable and professional SWPPP Inspector to perform construction storm water inspections throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

This position will begin at approximately 25-30 hours per week with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position as our DFW project volume continues to grow.

A company vehicle is provided for inspections, so employees are not expected to use their personal vehicle for routine site travel.

Previous SWPPP experience is helpful, but not required for the right candidate. We are primarily looking for someone who is reliable, organized, professional, comfortable working independently, and confident navigating active construction sites.

We will provide training on SWPPP requirements, inspection procedures, documentation, and our inspection software.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine SWPPP inspections at active construction sites throughout DFW
• Inspect erosion and sediment controls and other storm water Best Management Practices (BMPs)
• Identify deficiencies, maintenance needs, and corrective actions
• Take clear and organized site photographs
• Complete electronic inspection reports accurately and on time
• Manage an assigned schedule of project sites
• Communicate professionally with project managers, superintendents, contractors, and customers
• Maintain organized inspection records and documentation
• Drive between project sites using a company-provided vehicle
• Monitor stabilization, construction entrances, perimeter controls, material storage areas, drainage features, and other site conditions
• Represent Sure SWPPP professionally while on customer job sites
• Maintain the company vehicle and equipment in a clean and professional condition

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license

• Basic comfort with smartphones, tablets, email, and digital reporting systems
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following is helpful but not required:

• SWPPP or storm water inspections
• Construction
• Land development
• Erosion and sediment control
• Construction inspection
• Quality control
• Construction safety
• Utilities
• Grading or earthwork

SWPPP experience is not required. Training will be provided for qualified candidates.

This is primarily a field position.

Employees will regularly drive between construction projects and walk active job sites. Sites may include uneven terrain, mud, steep slopes, active earthwork, construction equipment, and changing weather conditions.

Applicants should be comfortable working outdoors in typical North Texas conditions.

Compensation

$26-$30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Candidates with previous SWPPP, environmental compliance, erosion-control, or construction inspection experience may qualify toward the higher end of the range.

Schedule

The position will initially average approximately 25-30 hours per week.

Hours may vary depending on project volume, weather, inspection requirements, and site locations.

The goal is for the position to transition into a full-time SWPPP Inspector role as Sure SWPPP continues to expand its DFW operations.

Some scheduling flexibility is required because inspection schedules may occasionally change due to weather, construction activity, or regulatory requirements.

Company Vehicle

A company vehicle will be provided for inspections and authorized company business.

A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.
