DFW GSE Manager – Swissport

Base pay range: $90,000 – $90,000 per year.

Overview

Operational, personnel and administrative manager of our assigned GSE and fueling maintenance organization. Ensure implementation of fleet management strategy at your assigned department.

Responsibilities

• Definition of maintenance strategy, partner selection and negotiation for outsourcing and sub‑contracting.
• Definition of optimal organizational structure and effective planning methods for manpower and equipment.
• Management of human resources (promotions, performance tracking, pay scheme, training programs, succession planning).
• Build best‑in‑class operational processes to support business requirements, total cost of ownership analysis and financial models.
• Baseline all existing processes related to equipment budgets, acquisition, repairs, maintenance and disposal; develop lean processes to eliminate waste and maximize efficiencies.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise in fleet and capital equipment sourcing and operations including contract negotiation and supplier management.
• P&L responsibility for assigned business units; define yearly budget and medium‑term strategic plan.
• Compliance with legal/safety requirements—ensure all regulations are met locally and by Swissport standards.
• Partner with regional operational teams and services business to develop tailored strategies supporting regional profitability metrics.
• Ensure all Ground Service Equipment at the station is maintained, properties are available, safety rules are observed, and QHSE activities are led to reduce employee injuries and equipment damage.

• Staff productivity.
• Bachelor’s degree in business (business management, supply chain, finance or related field) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 10 years supervisory/management experience in GSE maintenance, or equivalent.
• Relevant military experience also welcome.
• Technical background (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical) a plus.
• Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organizing/time management and problem‑solving skills.
• Distinct customer focus (internal and external).
• Computer literacy including familiarity with computer‑aided maintenance tools.
